I have a 2002 chevy venture with 2 problems.It chugs like it is running out of gas and
stalls, sometimes it runs perfect. What could be the problem? It also shakes when I am
stopped at a traffic light or just sitting idle.

Do you have any Engine Codes? I would do a fuel pressure test on it. It could be a bad fuel filter. Also, it could be a dirty throttle body they usually get carbon built up in it.

i dont know about the engine codes. Ive only had the van about 6 months

Some part stores actually scan your car for free. It does sound like a Lean Fuel condition.

I have the exact same thing with the exact same problem but when I turn sharp left it completely cuts out. Did u resolve this yet? If so what was it?

Oh yeah also the shaking when idle is probably your motor mounts I had the same problem and I change the motor mount and the tranny Mount now it's perfectly smooth doesn't even feel like the car is on but I still have the chugging problem like you and like you also runs perfect sometimes but mostly only when it's cool like in the morning but after I run it for a little bit then it'll start doing the chugging thing
