Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Ford Mustang convertible. It has the ANTI-THEFT chip device that goes in your key AND IS ALSO located in my steering colum underneath the dashboard. How can I start my car without having to contact the dealership?

Not sure there is a way to do it without having to contact the dealership. There is no real easy way to bypass a security device.
