Check the radiator, it's probably bone-dry. if not, then check the heater core as it might be plugged up. If one of the heater hoses (there are 2 of them, approx 1 inch in diameter) going from the engine to the firewall right underneath the windshield is hot when the engine is warmed up but the other hose is still cold or maybe only luke warm then the heater core is plugged up and needs to be replaced. They also have a vacuum operated valve that shuts the hot coolant from going through the heater core, its so that when you have the ac on its not fighting against the hot heater core. Sometimes these valves get stuck. I just remove it when that happens and I don't notice any difference with the ac.

Follow the hoses from the firewall to the engine. You should find the valve somewhere in between, it might even be under the dash on the right side near the heater. I'm not sure with the newer cars but I've included a photo of it. It will have either wires going to it or possibly a small vacuum hose or maybe both. See photo. Good Luck, Kenny/MrBlueOval
