Ford Taurus 2006 Died While Driving No Crank

Asked by Mike Sep 17, 2017 at 08:39 PM about the 2006 Ford Taurus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving the car turned off. I tried to turn it on but no luck. Low oil light is
on. The car will make a single click when turning the key. I checked the oil
and it was fine. I replaced the alternator and had the battery tested. All fuses
are good. I passed the starter solenoid and it tried to crank but no start. I
have no clue what it could be. Checked battery groundings too and reset
anti-theft. Code tester wouldnt connect but im assuming its because i reset
the cpu after the car broke down.

Oil pressure switch? Shutting down car thinking oil is too low?
