Should I run to or from this deal? (1999)

Asked by Vicki Jan 14, 2014 at 01:32 AM about the 1999 Honda CR-V EX AWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Good News - Bad News. Not sure what to do. My mechanic has a 1999 Honda Cr-V for sale. He has rebuilt the transmission (with Honda parts), replaced timing belt, new water pump, new tires, new windshield, valve adjustment, flushed engine. No body damage, interior in good shape. Perfect first car for granddaughter! But the bad news is that it has 302,000 miles on it. Yikes! Because he is a reputable business owner and done all the work on the car does that discount the 300K miles? He is asking $4200.Would appreciate opinions if this is worth pursuing. If I decided to go forward I would offer $3700.
