I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey. Why would air conditioner blow cold on one side and hot on other in front. Rear air conditioner seems to work fine

You need to replace the blend door actuator on the side that is blowing hot air.
134 A freon is less then needed. Honda Odyssey need 50psi in the low side not 35psi. you can check with any Honda Odyssey and find out it is true. this is way I fixed my 2008 Honda Odessy. JK
if blend door actuator not working means all the went will blow hot air JK
Add 134 A freon up to 50PSI Low side. 30psi-35psi is not enough because we have dual air conditioning sytom in the van. regular car needed 31-35psi. JK

you can pump all the r-134a in your vehicle you want, Find the leak and get it fixed 1st and then vacuum the system and double check for leaks, recharge it with the correct amount of # r-134a and the correct amount of a/c compressor oil, you can do it yourself it just takes some motivation and spend a little on gauges and freon and some time on how to do it, easy peasey.
Had that problem last week. Have driven my 2006 Ody for 6½ years and only been in the shop once. Was afraid the blender door activator needed to be replace. Took it to a small, neighborhood garage. The guy checked the Freon, and found it only a little low. He recycled the Freon; checked the air flow; and ALL WAS WELL. And now I have clean Freon to extend the life of the system. COST: $50.
