Type of fluid in 1991 Chevy S10 transmission (manual) and capacity "5 speed 4.3 V6"

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I didn't get the original service manual with this truck when purchased. After inspection, this trans. also has another service plug under starter which is an attached reservoir on the transmission. I've not seen one like this. It has 127,000 miles and has a small "whine" so I am going to replace?service the fluid. Also, what size Allen wrench fits the drain and fill plugs?

Thanks Js08016. It takes Dextron Automatic Transmission fluid. I found the Allen size. It's a 17mm and you can Purchase one from Oreilly's or Advance Auto Parts for around $20.00+ shipping. (IF anybody is interested)
.I dont get how you said it was a manual and then said that you put automatic fluid in it...? did this work? seems wrong to me...?
