Keeps blowing fuel pump fuse it blows as soon as the key is turned to the on position

The oddest things happen sometimes. I had a Chevy truck did that onece. It turned out to be that the wires at the fuel pump cracked and in time they started touching each other making my fuse blow. Luckily for me I didn't have to trace that wire very far since I started looking at the fuel pump location. Good luck hope it's a easy fix for you.
