Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2001 Chevy trail blazer and one day it died and wouldn't start again would you have any idea why that would happen and I when I try to start it, it sounds like it wants to turn over but don't...Just wanted to knit if it was a major issue or simple to fix?

Spray starting fuild in the intake as you try to start it. If it starts then your pump might be bad.
Also, a common issue with the Chevy Blazers are the passlock security system. Is the security light illuminated or flashing on the dash after you try to start?

So I tried the starting fluid it started for a few seconds then died again..What pump would I look at to see if it needs to be changed? I was thinking of trying the sea foam stuff to see if maybe the hoses was clogged...and yes I believe the security light was on..What does that mean is it a big expensive job to do? Thanx guys for giving me ideas I have not a clue about fixing cars.
So it sounds like the fuel pump that is in the gas tank. This can be verified by check the fuel pressure with a gauge. It should be 56 to 63 LBS. I know you probably can't do this yourself, gotta figure out how you are going to get fixed. I'm guessing around a $250 job at a garage.
