the fuel pump needs a good ground also , is there a fuel pressure regulator you can replace ? a tester will tell if pressure is correct , does the injector shoot gas ?

that sounds like a good pressure , is it TBI or fuel injectors , are they firing ? what about the IAC valve ? is the port clean ? vacuum leaks ? worn gaskets ?

Its 4.3 vortec i think tb im not sure about engines i have it in a shop and thay have changed all that out and its still not running right.i picked it up friday after fuel pump was replaced and it ran good then about 7 miles it went dead again so they changed out the tps and still doing same there calling a outside mechanic tomm he saud it could be injectors idk i just dont want them screwing me

if they are replacing parts without testing them and making no progress then I'd say you're being screwed , intentionally or not . Anyone can do guess work a mechanic is supposed to trouble shoot and do diagnostics to avoid wasting time and money that's why they charge what they do .This is 23 year old technology on this car .
