When I get a new fuel tank, does it also need a fuel pump in the tank?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an S-10 and the fuel tank is leaking by the strap.  If I get a fuel tank, do I also need a fuel pump or is it in the tank or not.  Heard both ways.  Anyway to repair the leak for a couple days till we can get to it?
