It should sit almost straight up and down .Maybe just a bit to the left. 180 degrees center is 200 +/- My V 6 sits centered in heavy traffic in a Texas summer with A/C on.

Thank you. Tried to tell me to replace water pump as well. It was replaced few years ago and was not making any noises. When should I worry about that?

Keep an eye on the radiator fluid level and check to see if the oil stays a dark color. Some water pumps have a weep hole underneath the shaft and if a bearing is going out or is leaking water, it will "weep" water. If you keep the same safe temperature and don't use any radiator fluid, don't bother it. Sometimes a bearing freezing up or going bad will make a noise and it is easy to pin point where that noise is coming from.

Thank you for all the great answers! Love my lil chevy and it's been good to me. Also had a 78 maverick and that lil car was one of the best I ever had. It started right up after sitting for 2 years here in Florida. Some kid bought it, fixed it up and I still see it around! Will definately keep an eye on the fluids! Thanks Gurus!
