I also have a 2001 Z28 convertible. I did a lot of research, checking out about 6 other manufacturers, and eventually decided on a Bilstein Suspension Kit (BTS-7501). This is a complete package. It includes springs, front and rear shocks, and all needed hardware for the set up. It lowered my Z about 1 1/2 inch. It had no effect on tire clearance and preforms great. You can pick up a kit on the inter-net for under $650.
