Check to see if the alternator wire has voltage to it with the engine off. Engine off, there should be 12 volts to the big wire on the alternator. If this voltage is missing check for a blown fuse or fusible link in the alternator wire. If voltage is present check and clean all battery connections including the one at the starter. These connections must be absolutely clean, free of corrosion and tight. Also check any ground wires you can find, they must have a clean and tight connection.
