Do a fuel pressure bleed down test. Hook a fuel pressure gauge up to the Schrader valve and cycle the key on, off until fuel pressure builds up. It should be 56 to 63 lbs. With the key off watch the fuel pressure, it should not drop more than 5 lbs in 3 minutes. If it does, then the spider injection system would have to be replaced.
i got fuel goin to it with the inline pump and i put new spider injectors in it because i thought thays why it wouldnt start i can press the valve and has spews out would i have to disconect factory pump for it to work properley
ok ill check the pressure if it dont have enough what do u recomend goin back with factory or inline pump
my haynes manual is sayin for a TBI 9-13 psi for fuel pressure
1998 Vortec does not have a TBI set-up, it is a MPFI. that requires the 56 to 63 lbs of fuel pressure. 1995 was the last year for a TBI set-up.
mine is a 98 but they guy before me put over sized cam and pistons it has the TBI set up
Best post a picture of the top of the motor with the air cleaner off, it would save a lot of questions. But check that fuel pressure.
