2001 Camaro Z-28

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Engine won't shut off when key in off position. Won't shut off when ignition
switch located on lower steering column is manually moved to off position.
Disconnected alternator to preclude possible feed back, still no engine shut
off. Replaced ignition switch with new one, when manually moved to off
position, same problem. What is the next step in trouble shooting this
system? Is there a work around?

Swapped ignition relay with starter relay(relays both the same) and engine still would not shut off. Restarted and completely disconnected ignition switch and engine kept running. An ohm meter check of ignition relay showed open between pins 30 and 87. Relay not stuck. Ignition relay is getting power from some source not known to me. Where does it get its power to open and close? My Haynes manual doesn't give me a good electrical diagram. Where can I get one?
