Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1997 s10 4x4, my abs came on the other day didnt think anything of it as it is
just a cheap older truck. Well this morning on my way to work it wouldnt stay in gear I
could keep it in 1st and 2nd but not drive. So I was wondering if anyone has experienced
before or if someone would know how to fix this.
Thanks

The shifter won't stay in gear or once the trans shifts past of 2nd gear it doesn't pull?

I found the problem, I just changed the trans. filter and fluid and it works just fine once it has warmed up. We have determined that it might have been the original fluid and filter so it was practically plugged. But, thanks for your help.
