how do i get your turn signals to work on a chevy cavalier even though the 4 ways still work

Well start with the fuses, check them all. Next try the relay, even though the emergency flashers and turn signals are on the same relay, a lot of people here have reported replacing the relay got the turn signals working again. If none of those do the trick, you might have a bad multi-function switch. Try pick-a-part for one of those on the cheap.

Who knows? the electrical circuit for the signals is not the same as for the 4 way flashers- I can only say that since you are on a budget you should get something better built than a Cavalier-
