Whenever I hit the brakes the rear driver side of the car is pulled down. What can cause this?

The body of the car is literally pulled down, this only occurs for the rear driver side of the car. As if someone was sitting on the car. Sometimes the effect is very strong and even a slight press of the break will start pulling the car down, this happesn when it has recently rained. It would typically stop doing it after driving for a bit but recently it was still persisted.

you need the rear brakes adjusted.. the brakes in the back are grabbing too soon causing your problem.. the damp air from raining will increase the effect you are having..
Coming that far down... I'd say along with the brake issue you possibly found a suspension issue also. The rear end of that car weighs nothing and for the back end to sag is weird because usually the tire would lock up and hop. Do what Andrew said and ask them to check the rear coil springs also. My step dads rear coil broke on his 01 grand am gt.
Just take a small grinder and grind the end edges of the brake shoe to a 45 degree angle. I had the same problem but fixed it with this simple job. If your drum isn't smooth, replace it other wise it will eat brakes like mad. Pulled my hair out about this but the answer came to me in a dream! Works...........
Bull crap. Brake module or brake motor pump. Mine did it. Stopped it never did again. Most like brake module. If abs light is on.
