Why do my warning lights come on my 2001 Chevy Cavalier when I use the brakes.

My Chevy Cavalier just hit 200,000 miles.
Now my warning lights. Anti theft lights are
coming on when I use the brakes. Any
answers?

Yes, it's telling you time to trade it in. Check the brake fluid level. The theft device may be shorting out. Can you arm the theft device? Do that and then attempt to set it off to see if it works. Turn it off and see if it resets. You may even have wires shorting out. See if you can follow the brake switch wire to make sure there are no breaks in the wire of lose connections.

The instrument cluster is going bad. had same thing happen. Cavaliers are very bad about that.
