Lowered 2000 chevy S10, now steering is sloppy

Asked by Guru9SDZW Oct 31, 2017 at 12:26 AM about the 2000 Chevrolet S-10 LS RWD

Question type: Car Customization

I had my 2000 chevy s10, RWD, regular cab, 4-cyl. engine lowered using
Belltech Lowering Kit (Complete Front and Rear Kit) - With Street Performance
Shocks.
The steering became sloppy, I was able to turn the steering wheel multiple
times before turning wheels completely.
I then had the tie rods replaced (outer and inner).  No change to steering.  So i
had the steering gear box replaced.  Still nothing.  I have had 2 different
mechanics say that there is nothing else they can do.
Has anyone experienced this before and if so what did you do.
Appreciate any help you can give me, it is driving me crazy

Yes. Same thing happened to me. I’d unload that sucker because you’ve ruined it for all intents and purposes. Should have left that heap of metal alone, Hope this encourages you
