2.2.liter chevy s-10 has intermittent problem

Asked by Duceerwin May 08, 2014 at 03:43 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet S-10 LS Xtreme RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Runs fine until it comes up to temperature then back fires and misses at low rpms you can give it fuel when driving and kicks down and runs fine..Gives a p0301 code. I changed plugs and wires and coil. Changed fuel filter and it ran fine for 2 days. I checked plugs all are firing great and now I hear a high pitched whine at fuel tank. Could it be a fuel pump going bad causing this?  I have no fuel pressure at the rail with the key on.
