OK i have a 2002 S-10 4.3l Vortec was idling fast then died will not start now

when I arrived home and placed it in park the engine was idling at 2500 RPM.  I likted the filter duct off the intake to see what position the flapper was in and the truck died --flapper was closed.  I have not been able to start the vehicle since.  I recently had to change a head  Replaced all lifters and pushrods and installed a new spider truck was running better than it had in a long time and we drove it for about a month. Now this --any ideas?

Have you checked your fuel pump? If it turns out to be your fuel pump, make sure you buy the Delphi brand if you do not want to spend money on the oem, but do not buy the generic cheap brands, you will have lots of other problems.

ok more information i pour some fuel in the intake and it started then died with the air cleaner off i tried again and intalled the air cleaner and truck started but idled over 2000 rpm
