I have a 2002 s10 pickup. The radiator appears to be leaking when I run the air conditioner. What is causing this?

Wow, if your radiator is leaking, you need to replace it right now. What are you waiting for? Just curious, how many miles are on your vehicle? Most radiators only last for a certain number of years and don't you think you have gotten good service from it? And, if you only see water when the air conditioning is running, that's condensation and nothing to worry about. Is that what you're saying? By the way, if the radiator fails, you'll overheat the engine, destroy your head gaskets and possibly blow the engine. Don't do that!

There is a condenser on the A/C system which collects moisture when A/C is running, When you turn off your vehicle the condensation will drip into a puddle on the ground more toward the right side. The fluid should be clear, just water. If radiator is leaking, the fluid should appear green and slick to the touch. Keep an eye on the reservoir for the radiator, check when cool for a constant, when the motor is hot the reservoir collects the expanded coolant from the radiator.
