Hi cnabayan! Dodge claims a 7.150lb towing capacity on your 2006 Dakota. Good luck!

Actually, the towing capacity ranges from 3150 to 7150, depending on your engine and towing package. The souped-up V8 2WD has the highest towing. Mine is an ordinary V6 4WD, so the towing is less. I haven't been able to find out the *exact* amount for my specific vehicle, only the ranges.
