Upgrade to a 2006 4.7L Dakota

Asked by Jaeger Jan 04, 2014 at 10:03 AM about the 2006 Dodge Dakota SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: General

I've got 175k on my Dakota and am seeing signs of the engine going south.  I'd like to get a beefier engine.  Would the hemi from the Durango work or should I seek another option?

it takes a lot of work, but the hemi will fit. it has been documented on other sites dedicated to Dakotas. look for a site specific to Dakotas for the best info. that would be an awesome ride.

95 Dakota still kicks 3.9 207300 miles, rebuild can you hop it up? jeff
