Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I purchased a 2001 Malibu last weekend it was out of gas and the battery was dead (DUMB I KNOW) Well put 6 gallons of gas in it and it will fire up a run for 5 seconds and quickly shut off. I replaced the fuel filter and battery. Tried resetting the codes 10-15 min ON and 1 min OFF with the key. locking and unlocking the doors with the key... any Ideas???

After several tries of the reprogramming cycles. And (new battery, fuel pump, terminals, cam sensor and ignition.) Finally it was the BCM, and I did find a used one with the same numbers on it. After several hrs of reprogramming cycles....It cranked,it runs. Hallelujah!
