car wont run

I got a 2001 Chevy Malibu that I change the
fuel pump the fuel filter and I still can't get it
to run. I also sprayed starting fluid in the
filter and it run but die. And it seems like it's
trying to fire but it won't

Sounds like a bad fuel pressure regulator or no power going to fuel injectors.

To check the fuel pressure you are going to need a fuel pressure test gauge to use remove fuel hose going the the fuel rail and connect gauge to it. To test to see if it is even working stick end of hose into a empty bottle and have some one turn the key to the on postion a nice study stream of fuel should shot out. To test for power going to injectors you will need a noid light it connects into the injector connector end once it is disconnected from injector. If no power going to injectors check for a blown fuse or the vehicles computer could be bad.

Also are you sure you have power going to the fuel pump ? If no fuel shots out when you do the test I suggested check for a blown fuel pump fuse.
