2 wheel drive tranny

I got a 95 dodge half ton 4 wheel drive tranny is
shot can I put a 2 wheel drive tranny in it and just
not have the 4 wheel and what would I have to do
to make it work

You could make your truck 2wd if you wish. You would also need the correct drive shaft.
