antifreeze periodically smells in the cab

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 96 dodge ram 1500 and I sometimes smell antifreeze in the cab
once it warms up. My mechanic has checked passenger side floor board
under mat ans says it not wet at all. There doesn't appear to be no leaks or
drips under the truck. overflow reservoir is empty though. truck isn't
overheating either. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing the
smell? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You probably have a leaking heater core. I would try some Alumaseal and see if that stops the leak.

I agree with Regrets add some Alumaseal but if it does not work do not continue to add more hoping it will work that is when you can clog up your cooling system.
Thanks for all your answers guys. I really appreciate the input. I have a question though....if it was the heater core, wouldn't it cause the passenger side floor board to be wet?
The leak may be too small to make the floor wet.
Could it be controls on dash
