i just bought a 96 Dodge Ram 1500 twdrive transmission shifting ok it just sounds like the torque converter isnt in there rite aresomething make a hell of a noice in park are sitting still in drive

transmission shifting ok on my 96 ram 1500 sounds like torque converter grinding it does it in park it grinds in drive sitting still not to bad in nutral im on a fixed income of 540.00 a month I need the cheapest way to fix this problem and fast. Thank U its a twdrive

hi if its the torque converter there is no easy fix you can get a reman one but either way the trany has to come out and it needs to be replaced.... also you will want to drop the pan and replace the fluid and filters hope fully it has not damaged the front pump
