my tachometer stop working after replacing the ECU computer in my Dodge Ram 1500 1996

was it a reman PCM its possible that it is defective ....//let me look to see if its hard wired or bused over to the cluster

Yes its a remanufactured unit. Also my truck will not stay running unless is at operating temperature.

it shows the the tach is a dedicated wire to the cluster in the C3 connector pin 31..can't find the diagram with the pin outs to show you

the running issue may be that all the sensor values were reset and it still is learning ...you may need to clean the throttle body to help this along

ok so you may have an issue with the reman PCM then I would get another one it should be under warrenty

The fuse is fine but replaced it anyway. As far as the PCM, I can't return it right now because my car is in the Body shop and the truck is the only thing I have to drive.
