Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have been driving my car for years...suddenly the brakes got
loose...almost to the floor, I have ABS, they went back to normal
immediately. I noticed they continued, not as far down, but the pedal does
go down and had three different mechanics look at it. Had new calipers and
rotors resurfaced, bled the brake system and new oils, etc. Master cylinder
ok....after all that, they still act strangely...after driving it for half an hour, the
brakes go softer and further down, and then ok again. I don't feel safe.

I brought the car back, it's in the shop...third time...they said they didn't know what was wrong. I told them when I brought it in the last time to check brake booster. they didn't...it's back now and they said they will check it. It seems a mystery to these mechanics, have had it in three different shops. thanks for your helpful answer...to be continued...i guess :(
