Rear end swap

Hi I have a 97 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.9
engine. Wanted to see if I can put the rear
end from a dodge 2500 and everything bolt
up

Your wheels won't bolt on for one thing. I doubt the drive line will either.

I know the wheels won’t bolt on I figured if the rear end will work I was going to swap the front as well

Now the real thing is to find out your geaqr ratio on original rear end and see what is equal to a 2500 rear end first..... Rear end will bolt in ( rims will not bolt back on because of going from 5 bolt to 6 bolt ) drive shaft will fit until it goes into trany yoke. Need to get 2 different - joints and swap out caps to make work. ...
