Lights being weird

Why on my 1997 dodge ram 1500 does my back
up lights come on when I hit the brakes and
flashes when turn signal is on and when the
running lights are on the driver side brake light
dims and the back up lights come on still

I've checked the lights they seem to fine but I'm wondering if it is grounding problems where would I look for the ground to be
