Won't start 2001 Sunurban

My truck won't start. When I turn the key, it doesn't make
any noise at all. Seemed fine the last time I used it and it's
got food charge to the battery. What do I check first? The
uber guy that drove me to school said I should hit the
starter with a hammer?

Smack it and if it starts check the connections on the starter. If they are clean and tight put a new starter on it. First thing I would check is the battery cables, they need to be clean and tight with no signs of corrosion.

Check your battery terminals. They should be clean (no corrosion) and tight.
