Truck wont move

Asked by Brian Apr 02, 2016 at 12:21 PM about the 1998 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie SLT Club Cab LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I drive a 98 dodge ram 1500 5.9 2wd and the
other day I was towing my buddy's truck a good
distance but I've made way heaver loads before
when all of a sudden I look down and my speed
says I'm going zero and my rpms kept rising. When
I pulled over to see what's going on I have no gears
now, it sounds like the rod is moving but it's not
getting connection and no gears are catching and I
don't move anywhere. Anyone know what this
might be? Thanks in advance
