will a 2001 46re tranny work in a 1998 with a 46re both 4x4 but have different governor sensors

I have a 1998 dodge 5.2 liter 4x4 1500 with a 46re tranny with the tubular shaped governor sensor. will a 46re tranny from a 2001 dodge 5.2 liter 4x4 ram with the black transducer function properly. if not is there any changes I can make to make the tranny function properly.

yes....read up on it....its all in the brain..please read up on..just what you asked in your search engine...

will changing all the solenoids and sensors with the wiring harness on the tranny to match the ones on the truck correct the difference and make them compatible.

I successfully installed the 2001 46re tranny into my 1998 ram . Therefore the answer to my Question is YES it will work! to ensure the wiring matched me TCM I replaces the transducer, Governor, housing for both, along with the wiring harness which included the attached solenoids.
