Tranny replacement or no

have a 98 dodge Ram 1500 and the guy I bought
from said he replaced tranny and transfer case but
the cruise control don't work, the over drive don't
come on and every time I put it in drive it makes a
loud winey noise sounds like fan belt but not it
what could be the issue

He probably lied about replacing the transmission, unless he replaced it with another worn one. Loud noises, not shifting is not good. Have a mechanic or trans shop diagnose it before you start replacing parts. The cruise control problem is a separate issue and not associated with the transmission.

    We have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.2. Tranny was working fine 2 days ago, yesterday it wouldn't shift in to OD. The OD on/off light in dash works when you push button. Any help??
