Will an 5.9 trans fit a 5.2?

I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 sport package 4x4 an I can't seem to find
a 5.2 4x4 trans anywhere but I found a 5.9 trans an it's 4x4 an I was
wondering if it would bolt up an if so what would I need to do so I could put it
in there without it blowing up in my face

It should be the same trans.
they should be the same trans but the old 5.9 were balanced on the torque converter may want to check that I would! I"d also use my 5.2 converter just to be safe unless I thought it was bad I would have my 5.2 converter rebuilt or get a good used one hope this helps
I am sorry I assumed yours was a automatic that's what I have run into in the past but I am old car mechanic idn if the 360 is still externally balanced of not just a question I would ask good luck

Yes they interchange I have a jeep with a 360 (5.9) it has a 5.2 transmission and transfer in it from a 1999 dodge 1500 pickup
