instrument panel, taillights & backup lights not workinh

Asked by tjackson13 Feb 25, 2016 at 10:53 AM about the 1998 Dodge RAM 1500 ST RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have a 1998 dodge ram 1500 ST & the other
night, I turned on the headlights & everything
worked. Then the instrument panel lights went out.
When we stopped, we realized that we had no
taillights or backup lights. Brake lights, turn signals
& dome light still work. What could be causing
this?

Howdy, sounds like one or several fuses may have failed. Check the master box under hood as well as one under or on side of dash to find possible problem. Hope this helps....
