I replaced the solenoid because it wouldn't shift into overdrive without letting off the throttle. If you have the truck looked at and it's believed that's the problem, it's no trouble to change. The parts are @$200. If you're unsure, you might want to find a "U-Pullit type yard and get one for @$40 Check out YouTube for a little tutorial on the procedure.
