I have a 99 dodge ram 1500 5.9 L
2 wheel drive. I just put new tires on and a
little confused about the psi.
They are 245 75r 16 E rated
The tire store inflated all tires at 80
psi....is that over kill? I do tow a
boat.....sometimes.

I run mine at 46 psi. 80 psi is inflation for 2500 series Dodge Ram. Look on one of the tires and it will list maximum cold inflation pressure. Also the recommended pressure for your vehicle is listed on the door post, driver's side.
I think I will run at 45ish 80 psi seems extremely high plus the front end feels over sensitive since I installed these new tires ...... Thanks
What is the the Psi supposed to be at on a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500

I have a 2006 dodge 1500 van. Wts the recommended air pressure??
Holy mackerel people. Look at the sticker inside the driver's door. I have a 2010 Ram 1500 and the recommended pressure is 35 psi. According to the manufacturer the max recommended is 44 psi. My local tire shop inflated all the tires to 50 psi when I took it in for a puncture repair. You cannot rely on these bozos. They pretend to be experts but they are not.
Depends on tires. Stock 35 is good. My meat tires are max 65 so 42 winter 45 summer.
thankx for help n there was no sticker inside my door
