What happened to my transmission?

Asked by Joshdodgeram Nov 30, 2015 at 07:30 PM about the 1999 Dodge RAM 1500 ST Quad Cab RWD

Bought truck last year. 1999 dodge ram 1500. All the sudden would not start
in park....only neutral. Plus...shifts from 1st gear around 3200 rpm. Had friend
replace both solenoids in the transmission as well as the neutral safety
switch. Nothing changed. Any ideas?

As far as the hard shifting add some Lucas Transmission Fix Stops Slips. It also stops hesitation and rough shifting.
