2001 suburban power door lock fuse blows when unlock is pressed

Does this happen when you lock with just the drivers side or both the passenger or drivers side? If just the drivers side, it would most likely be that there is a short in the drivers side wiring, either in the switch/control unit itself or the wiring to it. If you remove control panel for the windows and door locks on the door panel you can inspect the wiring leading to the unit. The use of a magnifying glass help see even the smallest damage to a wire that you might not normally see with the naked eye. Control units are relatively cheap for a 2001 Suburban on ebay or ordered through a parts store.
