Is trans from 1999 5.9 ram 1500 the same as one in a 2001 ?

i would say its possible if the transmissions are both 46RE's not much was changed in those 3 years

Both are 2nd gens. As long as they are both 46re good to go.

I'm sorry i didn't have the ? Right.im changing the motor their both are 5.9 1500 dodge rams ones a 97 the other is a 2001 but the 2001is a 4 wd and ones not. It's seem like the torch conversing fitting do I need to swap the torch converter to make it fit? Are 5.9
