2001 chevy suburban 2500

My power steering is stiff and brakes
are out.
Im being told several different things
from power steering , to power
booster and more.

Check power steering fluid and if it's low look for leaks. Pretty sure you have hydroboost brakes which means the power brakes and steering run off the power steering pump. If there is no leaks and fluid level is good then I'd suspect a bad pump
