If you can get the use of a code reader that reads live data, you plug it in while driving and it can tell you what system is shutting off.

Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good. Any applicable trouble codes? When problem is ongoing, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs. Check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. If engine is hot, wear gloves. If you missing everything, check cam and crank sensor signals. Don't replace anything unless your testing points in that direction. Just my opinion.
