what kind of automatic transmission does a 2002 Dodge 4 wheel drive 1500 series having

my 02 ram 1500 4x4 with the 4.7 L has the 46RE tranny but there is a 47RE as well. look on the dr side on the tranny there will be a stamped number with the model # 46re or 47re .if you cant read it call your dealer and give them the vin # and they will be able to tell you. which one you have.
