The real question is, do you have power going into the coil?
check coil still nospark at the sparkpugs
Like the previous poster, check for 12 volts at the coil ,that engine is an easy check, unplug the connector from it, there are 2 wires, use a digitsal volt meter set on DC volts, put the red on one side of the coil connector and the black on the other side, have someone crank the engine while cranking you should see 12 volts then nothing 12 volts them nothing, sort of like a signal, that would tell you if all is good up to the coil, if not then usually the bad part is the hall effect switch that is in the distributor,
Mine just did the same thing. Driving on the freeway and BAM! Nothing. Thought it fuel pump but I hear it kick on. I'll try the DC test.

My 2010 4x4 hemi sport just all of a sudden took the starter 10 or 15 seconds to start, so I drive off and it won't accelerate over 3000 rpm, when stopping while in drive it acts like it's going to die, really rough idle, any suggestions before I have to take it in? It's got 82000 miles on it
If you have a 46re trans check the top plug on transmission causes no fire to the plugs or fuel pump broken wire or plug not tied that's was my trouble replaced top plug on trans above shift linkeg
So I have a 99 ram 1500 5speed and have no spark to my plugs. New wires new dist cap and new button, power to the coil pack is good power out of coil pack to the dist cap but no spark on my plugs
